Intentionality CIC is a social enterprise and well-being consultancy.

We’re interested in three things: social enterprise, well-being and social-enterprise-and-well-being.  What do we mean by that?

Our interest in social enterprise means that Intentionality provides consultancy, support and advisory services to social enterprises in order to enhance their service provision, increase their sustainability and measure their social impact.

The well-being bit is about happiness, quality of life, life satisfaction and much more.  It’s about the deep, meaningful, moving, exhilarating, connected stuff of life. In this area, we conduct research, give talks and help to shape policy and practice.

However, more than anything we love the meeting point of the two – where social enterprises set out to intentionally improve the well-being of individuals, communities and society. We like to work with audacious people, projects and enterprises – those that are working with and for the most disadvantaged, the most deprived or the most distressed.

We’re called Intentionality because we believe that we can all make deliberate choices – that we can act with intent – to do things differently. We love organisations, enterprises and individuals that depart from the norm and that tread a different path, tackling systemic social problems and generating social and financial returns for public, not private, profit.

Our clients include Connexions Thames Valley, Transitions Plus UK, Chapel St, Livability, the Surrey Youth Consortium and the London Borough of Merton Youth Service.  We also provide pro bono advice to start-ups and young social entrepreneurs recently including whomadeyourpants?, various Level 2 Award Winners at UnLtd and to One Rock International.

Intentionality is a Community Interest Company (CIC), a form of limited company for those who want to conduct business for social and community benefit. For more information, see the website of the Regulator of Community Interest Companies.  We’re also a member of the Social Enterprise Coalition and the CIC Association.
